I’m so excited to introduce Maggie of Bella Bridesmaids of Westport. I met Maggie while I was setting up the photo shoot for my hair accessories lookbook. She was a breeze to work with, lending me a dreamy, pink gown from Theia.
Upon returning the gown, over easy conversation, we realized we had many customers that shared the same style. Pairing her bridesmaid gown selection with my jewelry seemed like a no-brainer and so began our new partnership.
Tell a little about yourself and how you came to own Bella Bridesmaids.
I have worked in Fashion for 10 years and always loved styling women’s wear. I always dreamed of opening my own store. When I got married in 2015, I had come across Bella Bridesmaids who I used for my own wedding. I instantly fell in love with the store! It was the best of both worlds fashion and weddings! It seemed like such a great fit, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision of taking over the store!
What makes shopping at Bella Bridesmaids different?
We really strive to make a personal and fun experience for everyone. I love to get to know our brides and everything about their big day, not just their bridesmaids’ dresses! I want every bride to feel like they have gained a friend in the process!
What is your favorite part of working with brides and their bridesmaids?
I love getting creative and helping pull together a bride’s vision. Pulling together their flowers, the venue, what their fiance is wearing, etc. It is such a fun and exciting time and being apart of their special day means the world to me.
Do you have any tips for making bridesmaids dress shopping fun & stress free?
I always suggest to come in first with a few girls to start. We have so many colors and style options, it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. Start with a few girls to help you narrow down and then once you have your top three bring all the girls in to help make the final decision!
What’s your favorite bridesmaid style trend right now?
I am loving the printed floral dresses right now! They look beautiful and the girls really can wear them again!
